Common questions.

Charter logistics, policies, and the things most guests ask before booking.

Charter information and policies.

When should I arrive?

Ten minutes before your scheduled departure. Late arrivals shorten the charter — not grounds for a refund or extension.

Where does the charter depart from?

Most charters depart from Rose Bay Marina — 594 New South Head Road, Rose Bay NSW 2029. Darling Harbour and other city wharves are available on selected charters for a $50 surcharge per leg.

Are there any onboard rules?

A short list. Red wine isn't permitted onboard. Stiletto and sharp-heeled shoes aren't either — and you may be asked to remove shoes before boarding. Non-compliance means refusal of boarding.

What should I bring?

Sunscreen, a hat, a camera, and non-marking shoes. Everything else is provided or available as an add-on.

What happens if it rains?

Charters run rain or shine. Light rain or cloud cover isn't grounds for cancellation. The charter only cancels if the Master determines conditions are unsafe — gale warnings, lightning, unsafe sea state, or an authority-issued advisory.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes. BYO food, beverages and ice are welcome. We provide coolers, glassware, serving platters and the playlist.

Is there a limit on guest numbers?

Your charter is capped at the number confirmed in your booking. Under no circumstances may numbers exceed the vessel's certified legal capacity or operational limits as determined by the Master.

What if extra guests arrive?

If more guests arrive than confirmed or legally permitted, Wavii may (at its discretion) refuse boarding to additional guests, delay departure while numbers are reduced, or cancel or terminate the charter for safety or compliance. If the issue can't be resolved promptly, the charter may be treated as a late cancellation, with fees applied per our cancellation policy.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation notice is measured from the charter date:

  • More than 30 days: Full refund less a $25 administration fee and any non-refundable Service or Booking Fees.
  • 15–30 days: 25% forfeited; 75% refunded (less admin and non-refundable fees).
  • 0–14 days: 50% forfeited; 50% refunded (less admin and non-refundable fees).

Service and Booking Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

Can I reschedule my charter?

Rescheduling is subject to availability and Wavii approval. A reschedule may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking if notice is within 14 days, the requested date or time is peak demand, or third-party costs have been incurred. Any credit issued must be used by the stated expiry date and is not redeemable for cash, unless required by law.

What if Wavii Yachts cancels the charter?

Wavii Yachts may cancel due to mechanical issues, Force Majeure, or unforeseen vessel or crew unavailability. If this happens, we will offer (at our option) a substitute vessel of similar standard and capacity, or a full refund of the charter fee paid. Wavii Yachts isn't liable for consequential losses such as travel or accommodation, to the extent permitted by law.

Where can I find the full legal terms?

Full details are in the Terms of Service — which form part of your booking agreement.
