Ask the question with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House behind you.
Sydney Harbour Proposal Cruise
Two and a half hours on Sydney Harbour, the moment photographed by your skipper, and a glass of champagne waiting. You choose when; the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge sit behind you.
About This Experience
Proposing on Sydney Harbour is an easy idea and a hard thing to get right. The good vantage points are crowded, the light moves fast, and whoever you ask to take the photo is usually the person you least want standing there.
The Proposal solves the logistics so you only have to handle the question. A private charter, a skipper who knows which line puts the Bridge and the Opera House where you want them and who takes the photographs as well, a brief that reaches you before the day, and a complimentary glass of champagne waiting.
Highlights
- A 2.5-hour private charter built around one moment
- High-quality photographs taken by your skipper, included rather than sold as an add-on
- A detailed brief emailed beforehand, with a suggested sequence for the day
- A complimentary glass of champagne, poured when you're ready
- The Opera House and Harbour Bridge as the backdrop, from the water
- Your choice of sitting: morning, midday or afternoon
- Up to four guests, so you can bring witnesses or keep it to two
- Runs any day of the week; BYO always, Humble Bakery catering on weekends
What to Expect
You board at Rose Bay, or a wharf closer to you, and tell the skipper how you'd like it to go. Camera ready, but out of sight until the moment. Early in the charter, or once the nerves have settled. The brief we sent you suggests a sequence; you can follow it or throw it out.
The vessel takes its position. Your skipper has the camera ready and says nothing. No instructions, no counting down. You ask. They answer. The champagne gets poured.
The rest of the charter is yours: two hours on open water with the city turning past you and the hard part behind you. Edited photographs land within 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your skipper does. High-quality photographs of the moment and of the rest of the charter, included in the fare rather than sold as an add-on. There's no separate photographer aboard, which is part of the point: no extra person to explain, and nothing that looks staged. Edited images are delivered within 48 hours.
Easily. There's no extra person aboard to account for, and a skipper with a camera on Sydney Harbour looks like nothing at all. Tell us when you book and we'll keep it out of sight until the moment. Your skipper takes a signal from you (a word, a gesture, whatever you prefer) before putting the boat in position.
Yes. The charter is BYO and a complimentary glass of champagne each is already onboard. On Saturday and Sunday charters you can also add Humble Bakery catering boxes at checkout, charged at cost.
Yes. The charter runs any day of the week, year round, at the same $1,250. Only the Humble Bakery catering is limited to weekends; on a weekday charter you bring your own, and everything else about the experience is identical.
After you book, we email you a detailed brief: a suggested sequence for the day, where the boat will be at each point, what the light should be doing, and the ways you can signal the skipper when you're ready. Follow it exactly or ignore it; it exists so that nothing has to be worked out on the water.
Humble Bakery bakes to order and supplies us on weekends. On a weekday charter the boxes aren't available, so bring your own or email info@wavii.yachts and we'll suggest something that works.
Seventy-two hours. That's what it takes to get your brief to you and, on weekends, to place the catering order. Same-day and short-notice bookings aren't available for this charter.
You still have a private charter on Sydney Harbour for two and a half hours, and we'd suggest making use of the champagne.
